Historic Journey with "Anatolian Stars" in Shköder

The event held on March 27th, 2017 at the Shköder Migjeni Theatre, was attended by the spouse of the Ambassador to Tirana Füsun Bayraktar, Director of Tirana Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Ömer Osman Demirbaş, university deans, representatives of NGOs and many guests.

In the event organized by collaboration of Yunus Emre Enstitüsü and Ankara Advanced Technical School For Girls on the occasion of UNESCO declaring 2016 as “Khoja Akhmet Yassawi Year” on the 850th anniversary of his passing, a historic journey that reflects the period of prominent men of heart of the Seljuk period  such as Khoja Akhmet Yassawi, Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, Haji Bektash Veli, Taptuk Emre, Yunus Emre, Ahi Evran, Sarı Saltuk, Sheik Edebali.

The stage presentation containing motifs of the Seljuk Period and elements of Sufism, attracted great attention of Shköder locals.

Director of Shköder Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Zafer Kıyıcı marked in his opening speech that the wise people who lived in Anatolia such as Khoja Akhmet Yassawi, Yunus Emre and Ahi Evran dealt with themes as love, brotherhood, tolerance and peace.

Director of Ankara Advanced Technical School For Girls İlknur Koçbıyık stated that with “Khoja Akhmet Yassawi and Anatolian Stars” project, Khoja Akhmet Yassawi in particular and all Sufism schools inspired peace, love and tolerance to all humanity and that in the event, they wished to emphasize great Sufis, Sufi schools and rich Seljuk culture.
