Mengen Chefs Festival welcomed young people from five continents

700 young people from 57 countries who participated in the "Turkish Summer School" program organized by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü in 23 universities in Turkey, also learned about Turkish culture and art as well as Turkish language. Young foreigners participated in Mengen Chefs Festival program held at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, and learned about the rich Turkish cuisine and tasted Turkish dishes prepared by master chefs.

"Turkish Summer School" program, organized for the 8th time this year by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, was hosted in 23 different universities in 22 cities of Turkey, namely in Erzurum, Rize, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Sivas, İstanbul, Afyon, Isparta, Sakarya, Karabük, Eskişehir, Kütahya, Bursa, Bolu, Ankara, Giresun, Samsun, Karaman, Konya, Aydın, İzmir and Nevşehir.

Young foreigners who participated in Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Turkish course, visited Bolu's historical and natural sites. Guests who attended "Mengen Chefs Festival" organized in Mengen, a Bolu town famous with its chefs, tasted delicious Turkish dishes and admired the skills of master chefs. The countries and cities 18 students in Bolu came from are Hungary / Budapest, Sudan / Khartoum, Romania / Constanta, Malaysia / Kuala Lumpur, Palestine / Jerusalem, Cyprus / Nicosia, Poland / Warsaw, Bosnia and Herzegovina / Mostar, Kosovo / Prizren, Italy / Rome, Albania / Tirana, Macedonia / Skopje, Poland / Warsaw, Croatia / Zagreb.

The closing event of the program was held in the Presidential Complex in Ankara. Students who successfully completed the program delivered a message of peace to the world in Yunus Emre's language.

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü embraces all colours of our culture

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü President Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş stated that as Enstitü, they offer services in a total of 138 points in 60 countries and that they aim for the world people to learn Turkey more closely. Stressing that Turkish Summer School was realized in direction with this goal, Prof. Dr. Ateş said, "We have the opportunity to make one-to-one contact with hundreds of thousands of people and explain ourselves through our activities that embrace all colours of our culture. We build bridges of affection between countries with thousands of foreign students, and strengthen fraternity and communion by teaching Turkish language."
