“Training Program” Organized by collaboration of YEE and ILO, Ended

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü and the United Nations International Labour Organization (ILO) collaborated for the "Training Program for Instructors Who Teach Turkish as a Foreign Language", aimed at instructors engaged in Turkish teaching activities in cities densely populated by Syrians.

The training program organized in collaboration with the United Nations International Labour Organization (ILO) in Ankara between September 25-29, is participated by 87 instructors who teach Turkish to Syrians in Public Training Centres in Adana, Mersin, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa and Hatay cities.

The instructors acquire skills through theoretical and practical trainings given by field specialists and academicians who work in the field of teaching Turkish as a foreign language.

In program's closing ceremony held on September 29th, YEE Turkish Instruction Director Kerim Sarıgül and ILO Senior Program Director Nejat Kocabay made short speeches. Kocabay addressed the importance of this joint activity in education field with YEE and expressed their appreciation to YEE for their support, and that they hope the cooperation will be continued. Sarıgül expressed their appreciation of this collaboration in terms of improving the quality of Turkish instruction and added that similar activities are carried out with other non-governmental organizations in the field. He thanked the participants for their active participation in the seminars and their learning efforts.

The program ended with presentation of certificates of participation and souvenir photo shoot.
