Turkish Summer School students met in Isparta

The young people from different regions of the world who met in Turkey for Turkish, visited Isparta's natural and tourist sites. Süleyman Demirel University hosted the Isparta foot of the Turkish Summer School program organized by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü in 23 different Turkish cities. 18 foreign students from 11 countries who came to Isparta attended Turkish language lessons for about four weeks as well as getting to know the historical, touristic and natural sites of the region.

Exploring Isparta with Turkish Summer School

By participating in culture and art events; they learned ceramics, calligraphy, gilding and marbling arts, and got to know Turkish and Ottoman cuisines in Turkish cuisine introductory event. Young people prepared the unique dish of Ottoman Palace Cuisine "Chicken Topkapı and Turmeric Vegetable Sauté" with Chef Alim Çimenkaya as part of the activity. In the excursion, the students visited Kuyucak village, known as " Village Smelling of Lavender", a favourite tourist attraction in Isparta in recent years. They also got the chance to see the Aksu Dungeon Cave, the Carpet Museum where hand-knotted carpets were exhibited and Eğirdir.

Ana Samkurashvili: "Turkish Summer School program, the gift of my life ..."

Shakhlo Abdalimova from Kazakhstan said that she was very satisfied with the program and stated that they got the chance to both learn Turkish and visit historical and touristic sites as part of the program. Georgian Ana Samkurashvili said that  Turkish Summer School program was the best gift in her life and the best decision of her life was   going to Yunus Emre Enstitüsü centre in her country to learn Turkish.
