We made an agreement for inauguration of a Yunus Emre cultural centre in Caracas. Former Foreign Minister Rodriguez had made a request to us for the construction of a mosque in Caracas. We will display Turkish architecture when necessary conditions are met.  My dear friend Maduro also expressed that he will provide assistance.”

President Erdoğan said, "We sent ambassadors to Venezuela 60 years ago. We wish for our Latin friends to live independently, away from foreign interventions. We would like to continue with win-win policy, particularly in terms of trade. We would like the recent issues in Venezuela to be resolved through dialogue. Turkey is ready to provide the support needed. We hope that in the coming term, we will increase the number of diplomatic personnel to 15. I also would like to visit Venezuela as soon as possible."

Maduro: "Five agreements signed today are signs of our new vision"

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who marked that they held important talks, said: "We have worked to diversify and further our relations. A new era will begin. We will celebrate the 60th anniversary of our diplomatic relations on December 24th. We have fallen a little behind in the last period. Five agreements signed today are signs of our new vision. After the aviation agreement signed, we will provide the support needed especially for the Caracas-Istanbul route and we will work to strengthen this route. In tourism field, the program to be carried out between 2017 and 2019, will involve tourism investments. We also made an important agreement with Turkey in the field of agriculture and livestock. We know that Turkey is advanced in the said fields. Our fifth agreement on security cooperation will protect our countries. We would like to open a new period in Turkey-Venezuela relations. We shape the new period of the world. In a multipolar, multicentric world which anyone can be a part of, every language and every religion will find place. The concept some refer to as Alliance of Civilizations is of utmost importance to us. We will contribute to this multipolar world. I would like to thank Mr. Erdoğan. These meetings have been completely successful."
