In Aydın to learn Turkish

20 foreign students who came to Aydın to attend Yunus Emre Enstitüsü "Turkish Summer School" program, visited Saturday bazaar and learned about the local products. They also visited the important tourism centre of the region, Aphrodisias.

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü 2017 "Turkish Summer School" was organized in 22 cities including Aydın.  Turkish language lessons were held until afternoon, and students participated in cultural and artistic activities and visited Aydın's historical and tourist sites in afternoons. 20 foreign students who came to Aydın  blended their language with Anatolian culture in Turkish Summer School and discovered Turkish culture and art in activities they participated.

Within the scope of excursions organized in Aydın, the student group visited Kuşadası, Güzelçamlı, Didim-Akbük, Apollon Temple, Tralleis Ancient City, Cianoglu Complex, Yavuz Sultan Selim Mosque, Adnan Menderes Farm, Aydın Ethnography Museum, Arapapıştı Canyon, Paşa Highlands, Bozdoğan Yoruk Yurt, Selçuk, Ephesus, House of Virgin Mary, Aytepe Picnic Area and Çiğli Nature Park. On August 12th , they visited the Saturday Market in central Aydın, learned about the local products and later visited the leading tourist destination in the region, Aphrodisias. A conference on "Traditional Turkish Culture" was organized for students on July 8th.

The countries and cities of the 20 students trained at Adnan Menderes University are as follows; Hungary / Budapest, Bosnia-Herzegovina / Fojnica, Sudan / Khartoum, Malaysia / Kuala Lumpur, Palestine / Jerusalem, Cyprus / Nicosia, Kosovo / Prizren, Italy / Rome, Albania / Tirana, Japan / Tokyo, Macedonia / Skopje, Croatia / Zagreb.

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Turkish Summer School program, organized for the 8th time this year was hosted in 23 universities in 22 cities of Turkey, Erzurum, Rize, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Sivas, Istanbul, Afyon, Isparta, Sakarya, Karabük, Eskişehir, Bursa, Bolu, Ankara, Giresun, Samsun, Karaman, Konya, Aydın, Izmir and Nevşehir. The closing ceremony of the program was held on Tuesday, August 15th, at Beştepe Complex under the auspices of the Presidency of Turkish Republic. Students who successfully completed the program, gave the message of peace in Yunus Emre's language to the world.

Heart bridges are established through Turkish

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü President Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş stated that as Enstitü, they operate in a total of 138 points in 60 countries and that they for world peoples to know Turkey more closely and more accurately through correct sources, adding that Turkish Summer School was one of the major programs carried in line with this goal.
