Sultan Composers were strongly applauded in Canada

Within scope of Yunus Emre Institute’s “Colors of Anatolia” activity, ‘Sultan Composers’ are warmly welcomed all around the world, took the stage in Toronto, Canada after its Washington, America concert.

Within the frame of world tour initiated in 2017 with the aim of introducing Turkey, its cultural richness and language; it came together with art-lovers in Argentine and Brazil then in the city of sultans Hagia Irene, Istanbul and then in Washington, America. The concert got richer with the participation of local musicians in different countries, passed from America to Canada.

Sultan Composers, which held in Toronto Ontario Science Center and gave art-lovers an unforgettable night, were strongly applauded with their amazing tones.

World-famous Armenian composer Ara Dinkjiyan took on singer position of the “Sultan Composers” concert under the baton of Musa Göçmen. At the concert, to which Canadian musicians also accompanied, works of composer sultans were performed.

Big Interest from World Country Representatives

The concert drew great interest from art-lovers including Consul General of Germany, China, Philippines, Moldova, Cambodia, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela, Ukraine and Poland as audiences.

The concert won great recognition and warmly applauded in Toronto. Especially the song called “Ağladıkça”, of which composition is belonged to Ara Dinkjiyan, attracted considerable attention in the night.

Head of Yunus Emre Institute Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş stated about the night that “We brought compositions of Ottoman Sultans to Canada stage after America. It was a quiet special and meaningful meeting for all of us. This meeting became a stage for strengthening culture and art bonds between Tukey and Canada further. Sultan Composers will go on contributing to intercultural friendship bridge by meeting with all parts of the world and making them feel the power of art.”
