Estonians have enjoyed another aspect of the Turkish culture thanks to the Turkish Culture Week, organized in Pärnu city of Estonia.

A "Karagöz" workshop was held between October 26 and 29 jointly by Yunus Emre Institute and Ankara Museum of Intangible Cultural Heritage with support from Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Tallinn.

The workshop was attended by people from all ages who had glimpse of the shadow play of Karagöz and Hacivat, an essential element of the Turkish culture, and participated in training sessions on making pictures and controlling the shadow play characters.

Marking the 100th anniversary of their independence, Estonians had an opportunity to know Turkey more closely thanks to the literary conversations, Turkish coffee offers, concerts, photo exhibitions, dance performances, interviews with business people, etc.
