The works of Turkish painters Rauf Tuncer, Hüseyin Elmas and Erkin Keskin have been put on display in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

A group exhibition entitled "Breeze from Turkey" was launched on May 14, 2019 with the intention of promoting Turkish painting art in Azerbaijan and, at the same time, bringing together Turkish and Azerbaijani painters.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Ebülfes Garayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Baku Erkan Özoral, Member of Parliament Hikmet Babaoğlu, the painters whose works were on display as well as numerous art lovers.

Ambassador Özoral delivered a keynote speech during the program held in cooperation with Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture, Yunus Emre Institute's Baku Branch, the Turkish Airlines (THY), and National Art Museum of Azerbaijan. "The works exhibited today have not only brought the breeze from Turkey to Azerbaijan, but also built a bridge between Turkey and Azerbaijan," he said.

The group exhibition covering 51 works will be open to visitors at the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan until May 24.
