Exhibition Themed "Ottoman Turkish Influences on Croatian Traditional Clothing" Opens in Mostar

An exhibition themed "Ottoman Turkish influences on Croatian traditional clothing" opened in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on May 13, 2024.

The exhibition, showing the Ottoman Turkish influences on Croatian traditional costumes, opened at the Karagöz Bey Madrasa in Mostar, which is used as the YEI cultural center, in cooperation with Mostar Yunus Emre Institute (YEI), Zagreb Municipality and Travno Cultural Center.

The exhibition includes traditional clothes with gold embroidery, lace and lace fezzes, old photographs of them and examples of hoop workmanship.

The exhibition, attended by Türkiye's Consul General in Mostar Yaşar Ergün and YEI Vice President Abdullah Kutalmış Yalçın, attracted attention.

Anatolian-themed embroidery and decorations in Croatian traditional clothes attracted attention.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors until June 15.
