Grand Bazaar Concert in The Netherlands

Composer and pianist Selim Doğru-led "reART Ensemble" took stage at the Grand Bazaar event in The Hague, the Netherlands.

Organized by Yunus Emre Institute's Amsterdam Branch and Zuiderstrand Theater at the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) in The Hague, the concert showcased the tunes performed using both Eastern and Western instruments.

The concert by the reART Ensemble, consisting of the Dutch violinist Emma Breedveld, reed flute player Sinan Arat, percussionist Alper Kekeç, double bassist Ardashes Agoshian and vocalists Aylin Sezer, Ezgi Köroğlu and Sinan Vural, attracted a great deal of attention from the music lovers.

The concert also featured Dutch musician Nico Schippers-led "Jonge Blazers Nederland" ensemble, consisting of musicians with different ethnic origins, played Turkish music, including "Assault March," traditionally played by the Ottoman military band, Mehter.

At the end of the concert, the players collectively sang Aşık Veysel's "Uzun İnce Bir Yoldayım," accompanied by the audience, and were applauded heatedly.
