İlber Ortaylı to lecture at the Cultural Diplomacy Academy

Famous historian and writer Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı will lecture at the Cultural Diplomacy Academy.

The Applied Cultural Diplomacy Training Program, organized by Yunus Emre Institute's Cultural Diplomacy Academy, will received historian and writer Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı on Saturday, April 6.

Ortaylı will attend the program with a presentation titled "Knowing a Language, Learning and Interaction in Cultural Diplomacy," and the theme of this week's training program will be "Perceptions, Facts, and Individual and Mass Behaviors."

The seminars to be held throughout the day for the participants will be "Using Art to Change Prejudices" by Ahmet Sula, "Statehood Tradition, Diplomacy and its Instruments" by Uluç Özülker, "Literature, Politics and Economics" by Mustafa Özel, and "Perception from a Philosophical Viewpoint" by Kenan Gürsoy.

As part of the "Applied Cultural Diplomacy Training Program" organized by Yunus Emre Institute's Cultural Diplomacy Academy, the participants have an opportunity to examine Turkey's current status in cultural diplomacy, its great potential in this area and its perspective that differs from other global actors from a comparative perspective.

They will learn basic concepts and contemporary practices under the mentoring of the most competent scholars in the fields of public diplomacy, cultural diplomacy and international relations during the program, enriched with seminars, talks, panel discussions, workshops, interactive evaluations, film screenings, cultural and artistic events, and scenario-based simulations.
