President of World Ethnosport Confederation and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Archers' Foundation Bilal Erdoğan, Head of the Archers' Foundation and Chief Adviser to President of Turkey Haydar Ali Yıldız, and President of Yunus Emre Institute Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş paid a visit to the Yidian company in Beijing on October 29, 2018.

The Turkish delegation was briefed about the activities of Yidian, China's second largest mobile information platform with 700 million users, by Yidian Vice President Xiaojun Yang and Yidian CEO Ya Li.

Yidian CEO Ya Li made presentation on the operational principles, ethic values, information security and information management technologies of the Yidian platform, developed based on an artificial intelligence algorithm.

Yidian Vice President indicated that they intend to extend the Sino-Turkish cooperation beyond tourism to include technology and economy.

World Ethnosport Confederation President Bilal Erdoğan pointed out that cooperation with Yidian would prove beneficial both to Turkey and to China.

Yidian Corporate Communication Manager Fei Lu noted that they have so far received 15,000 applications for the project of video promotion of Turkey, jointly launched by Yunus Emre Institute and Yidian, and that they expect the figure to reach 1 million when the project is completed.

Under the video project, users shoot 15-second videos with the title "I Have Good Reasons to Visit Turkey" and upload them to the Yidian website where the videos are voted. The users with the top 10 votes will be sent to Turkey as tourists.

The project was launched by Yunus Emre Institute when 2018 was declared as the "Year of Turkish Tourism" in China and it receives much attention in the social media. The project, jointly conducted with the Yidian company, aims to reach 500 million Chinese people.

China's largest TV channel, CCTV, held an interview with Bilal Erdoğan concerning the Turkish delegation's visit in Beijing. In the interview, Erdoğan talked about targeted improvements in technological, economic and cultural cooperation between Turkey and China.
