"Life In Jerusalem: In the Eyes of the Photographers from Jerusalem" meets art lovers

"Life In Jerusalem: In the Eyes of the Photographers from Jerusalem," an exhibition curated by Lütfi Şen and jointly organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Cultural Department and Yunus Emre Institute, opened its doors to art lovers on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition that sought to portray lives of the residents of Jerusalem from different perspectives was also attended by the masterminds of the exhibition, famed photographers, Iyad Tawil, Mohamad Dweik, Ata Jaber, Mostafa Alkharouf and Faiz Abu Rmeileh.

"Photos of Istanbul to be put on display Jerusalem"

Yunus Emre Institute Strategy Development Director Bülent Üçpunar pointed out that the Institute has been conducting activities at 156 different locations around the globe to promote friendship and cultural ties between Turkey and other countries. "Palestinians come up with countless beautiful works of art every day. As a cultural institution, we wished to undertake an event regarding the vivid life in Jerusalem and launched the exhibition "Life In Jerusalem: In the Eyes of the Photographers from Jerusalem" with precious contributions from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. We are pleased to bring this exhibition to the attention of the residents of Istanbul and welcome distinguished photographers. We are also planning to launch an exhibition called "Istanbul: In the Eyes of Photographers from Jerusalem" in Jerusalem in early 2019  using the photos the photographers from Jerusalem will take in Istanbul during the time they will spend here," he said.

The exhibition that serves to convey the stunning photos of Jerusalem, one of the cities that have fascinated photographers the most, to the world will be open to visitors until December 14.
