Minister Mehmet Cahit Turhan visits Yunus Emre Institute's Belgrade branch

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Cahit Turhan and the Turkish delegation accompanying him have paid a visit to Yunus Emre Institute's Belgrade branch as part of visit to Serbia.

Minister Mehmet Cahit Turhan toured inside the Institute and was briefed about the Institute's activities. He chatted with the Institute's staff at the Turkish culture room. Minister Turhan pointed out that Yunus Emre Institute has been making significant contributions to the promotion of Turkey with its activities around the globe.

"You perform important tasks here. We, as the Ministry, are working on infrastructure and transportation, and with your activities, particularly including the socio-cultural projects between Turkey and Serbia, you create artistic and literary infrastructure and strengthen the existing relations," he said. Minister Turhan added that they closely monitor the activities conducted by the Institute in Belgrade.

During the visit, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mehmet Cahit Turhan was accompanied by Director General of European Union and Foreign Affairs Erdem Direkler, Deputy Director General of Communication Gökhan Evren, Adviser to Presidency in Charge of the Balkans Samir Demir and Taş Yapı Executive Board Chairman Emrullah Turanlı.
