MNE Kyrgyzstan TÖMER Instructors receive their certificates

The certificate program has been organized for the Turkish language teachers who had been assigned by the Turkish Ministry of National Education (MNE) to various cities in Kyrgyzstan and who attended the Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language course given by Yunus Emre Institute in cooperation with the MNE, the MNE Kyrgyzstan Educational Consultancy and Manas University.

During the program held between January 10 and 18, 2019, Manas University's TÖMER academics and Yunus Emre Institute's specialists gave courses on "Teaching Four Basic Linguistic Skills," "Course Teaching Process, Planning and Teacher Qualifications," "Material Use,"  "Exam Preparation," "Problems in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language in the Context of Kyrgyzstan and their Solutions," and "Assessment and Evaluation in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language."

At the end of the eight-day program, an assessment exam was held at Manas University's School of Foreign Languages.

In the evaluation meeting held at the end of the seminar, the participants indicated that the program was very efficient and expressed their hope that similar programs should be held again.

As part of the program, Manas University Rector Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Balcı welcomed the representatives of Yunus Emre Institute at his office. Prof. Dr. Balcı noted that they would be glad to conduct joint projects on education and culture related to Central Asia.
