"THE LANGUAGE OF THE HEART IN POETIC LANGUAGE”

Speaking at the opening of the program held on May 25, 2021, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy began his speech by expressing his pleasure in accompanying a beautiful partnership where the language of heart cooperates with the language of poetry.

Pointing out that the panel that was held for the two great poets of the Turkish literature was a great opportunity to tell us about ourselves, and Minister Ersoy said that today, the lands that bear the traces of our civilization as much as the width of the land under the administration of the Turkic Republics have an enormous breadth and continued his words:

"ONE NATION TWO STATES"

Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Anar Kerimov started his speech with an emphasis on "One nation, two states". Emphasizing that this union is not political, military and economic, but also a cultural one, Kerimov continued his words:

One of the most beautiful symbols of this unity and brotherhood is our common history and our common genius poets Nizami Ganjavi and Yunus Emre. We, as the Ministry of Culture, intend to spread the philosophy and heritage of both Azerbaijani and international figures and to do this with our brother state Turkey.

Nizami Ganjavi and Yunus Emre are probably the poets of the same period. The common values and ways of thinking in their works are extremely valuable and admirable. Language is one of the main manifestations of national identity. Although Ganjavi wrote his works in Persian and Yunus Emre in Turkish, the spirit of Turkism is present in both of them. Like the brotherhood of the two countries, this conference is the continuation of our centuries-old historical roots.

“A HISTORIC OPPORTUNITY”

Chairman of Yunus Emre Institute Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş expressed his belief that this meeting will be a historical opportunity to commemorate, understand and talk about both of our poets. Ateş added:

Yunus Emre is a great poet who built the Turkish of Turkey and also a great thinker with his didactic teachings. He is a unique language virtuoso who founded Turkish language of heartfelt poetry and turned it into a great art. Yunus Emre, who advises to love all humanity regardless of language, religion and race, is a great thinker who can think far beyond the age he lived in, and he is a poet with a heart much bigger than the world.

The great poet of Azerbaijani literature Nizami Ganjavi is also a poet who has brought a new dimension to world literature with his immortal work. Nizami is also an artist who influenced the poets that came after him and Eastern and Western poets were inspired by his work. Recognized by the whole world as "the genius from Ganja", Nizami is a universal artist. As a matter of fact, he is a great poet who synthesized the universal values of his period in his art. Just like Yunus, the love of humanity is extraordinary in Nizami Ganjavi. "

After the opening speeches, the Head of Azerbaijan Writers Union Anar, and Deputy Chairman of the National Sciences Academy Prof. Dr. İsa Habibbeyli and Literary Researcher Mustafa Özçelik took part as the speakers.
