Second Songdo Global Culture and Education Program Held

A program promoting Turkish culture and art was held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. In the program organized by the cooperation of Seoul Yunus Emre Institute, Yeonsu Municipality and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), colorful events related to Turkish history, language, culture and art were held.

With the cooperation of Seoul Yunus Emre Institute, Yeonsu Municipality and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), the Global Culture and Education Program's Turkish Special Week was held at the Songdo Campus' International Education Center between 7 and 11 June, 2021.

This culture and education program, where specially prepared seminars on Turkish history, language, culture and art met with South Korean participants, was held at the HUFS Songdo Campus.

The Turkish leg of the program was started by Seoul Yunus Emre Institute's Prof. Oh Jong-Jin with his speech and presentation about Turkey.

ART OF EBRU WITH KADIR HIKMET BOZOK AND TURKISH LITERATURE WITH PROF. NAN-AH LEE

In the following days, the participants had the opportunity to experience one of the traditional Turkish arts with the ebru (marbling) workshop of ebru artist Kadir Hikmet Bozok, while Prof. Nan-ah Lee gave a special seminar on Turkish literature and museums.

TURKISH WORKSHOP

In addition, a special Turkish workshop was held by Özgür Can Yıldız for the participants, including colloquial idioms and important expressions that may be needed while traveling to Turkey.
