“In-Service Training Program for Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language” in Tunisia

The Yunus Emre Institute in Tunis organized on 15-18 May an “In-Service Training Program for Teaching Turkish as a  Foreign Language” for teachers assigned by the National Ministry of Education in Tunisia. 

The participants attended for four days theoretical lessons and applied exercises on four basic language skills given by Yunus Emre Institute experts.  During the program, lessons were given and workshops organized on Classroom Relations and First Lesson in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign language, Common Reference Document for Teaching European languages and Teaching Turkish,  Criteria for the Preparation and Evaluation of Exams in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language, Problems Faced in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language in Tunisia and Teaching Four Language Skills for Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language.  

The participants expressed their satisfaction for the training and workshops and asked for more similar training programs.

The participants were presented with certificates of participation in the “In-Service Training Program for Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language”  after the closing ceremony held at the Yunus Emre Institute in Tunis.
