National Defense Minister of the Republic of Turkey Hulusi Akar has paid a visit to the Turkish Task Force Command in Somalia.

During the visit that took place on November 8, 2018, Hulusi Akar attended the Turkish language course given by Yunus Emre Institute at the Somali War Academy and Somali Non-Commission Officer Academy, and chatted with the cadets.

Akar was briefed about the activities of the Institute and stressed the importance of the Turkish language training.

The instructors from the Institute have been offering Turkish language courses at the Somali War Academy and Somali Non-Commission Officer Academy for two years and some 300 cadets are taking these courses.
