"Songs from the Turkic World" in Hungary

A "Songs from the Turkic World" concert has been held jointly by Yunus Emre Institute and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY) with the support of Turkey's Embassy in Budapest.

The concert took place in Duna Palota building in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, on Monday, February 25, and Kazakhstan Kyzylorda Chamber Orchestra was accompanied by Kazakh, Azerbaijani, Kyrgyz and Turkish musicians who performed the songs of the Turkic world from the Caspian to the Danube for Hungarian art lovers.

TÜRKSOY Secretary General Prof. Düsen Kaseinov said that they were happy to hold their first program in Hungary, calling on Hungarian musician to take part in the orchestra.

Yunus Emre Institute President Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş expressed satisfaction over the project bringing musicians from Turkic peoples to Hungary, noting that the Institute intends to bring Turkish and Hungarian peoples closer with various programs organized in Budapest.

Ambassador of Turkey to Budapest Ahmet Akif Oktay and the Head of Hungarian-Turkish Affairs Office, Ambassador Janos Hovari, and ambassadors of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan to Budapest attended the event.
