TABİP Lecture Series "Science Diplomacy Talks" In KKTC

The TABİP Lecture Series, which seek to provide students and academics with superior instructive information on science diplomacy, continue to be held at Turkey's and the world's most distinguished universities.  

The TABİP Lecture Series "Science Diplomacy Talks" will be held in Famagusta, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC), on February 25 within the context of the Academic and Scientific Cooperation Project of Turkey (TABİP), conducted by Yunus Emre Institute under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey.

During the program which aims to promote the concept of science diplomacy in Turkish academic circles, the floor will go first to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgün Erler of Istanbul University, who will expound the concept of science diplomacy. Then, Olga Krasnyak, from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), will give a lecture entitled "Science Diplomacy Strategies with Case Studies.

 After Charlotte Rungius, from the "Science Diplomacy" European Union project, discusses the case of "SESAME", the world renowned Turkish scientist Prof. Dr. Semahat Demir, who was assigned as a Science Ambassador by the US Secretary of State in 2009 to steer science diplomacy efforts between the US and Turkey, will talk about "Science Diplomacy with Public Diplomacy."
