A “Training of Trainers Programme for Teaching of Turkish to Bilingual Turkish Children” has been arranged in Strasbourg of France under coordination of Yunus Emre Institute and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities”.

Seminars, content development presentations and workshops have been realized in the programme arranged in the Turkish Islam League campus of the Department of Religious Affairs in Strasbourg, between June 30^th and July 05^th, 2019.

Seminars were delivered on improvement of Turkish language skills, text preparation and adaptation, design and implementation of activities, cultural awareness and intercultural interaction, Turkish grammar, vocabulary teaching during the first half of the day. The activity and content development workshops conducted in the afternoon, however, the participants engaged in first lesson practices and activities for improvement of language skills to consolidate the information they have been taught in the seminars. The contents and activities produced by the participant groups have been evaluated along with the participants in joint sessions.

“Turkish for Children” and “Learning Turkish” sets, core teaching materials prepared by Yunus Emre Institute for use in teaching of Turkish as a foreign language, as well as books “Dede Korkut Stories”, “A series of Children’s Stories” and “A Series of Anatolian Stories” prepared to meet the meet the supplementary reading material needs have been promoted.

The programme came to an end having a souvenir photograph taken following conference of certificates to the participants in the closing ceremony arranged on Friday.
