Turkey has been the guest country at the "Islamic Culture Days," organized in Huelva by the Regional Government of Andalusia in Southern Spain.

The 20th Islamic Culture Days, in which Yunus Emre Institute represented Turkey, was held between October 11 and 13, 2019. The event started with a conference with public attendance where peace and tolerance were stressed, and the event showcased distinguished examples of traditional marbling, traditional calligraphy and modern calligraphy.

During the event, jointly organized by Turkish Embassy in Madrid and the Institute, workshops were held to promote the artistic vision of the Islamic civilization with a hands-on approach. The participants showed heightened interest in the workshops supervised by Nuran Öner and Mahmut Enes Kemer. They had a chance to learn the implementation delicacies and methods that have gleaned from centuries of hard work by marbling and calligraphy artists under the supervision of masters and they were gifted with the works they produced at the workshop.
