Turkish Archery in World of Nomads Festival

The Kazakh archers who graduated the "Traditional Turkish Archery" courses held at Yunus Emre Institute represented Kazakhstan at the International Traditional Archery Competition, organized as part of the World of Nomads Festival, conducted in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan.

The graduates of the "Traditional Turkish Archery" courses who represented Kazakhstan at the festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan between June 28 and 30, 2019 with the participation of Turkey, South Korea, Azerbaijan, Iran, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Hungary, Uzbekistan and Mongolia managed to make it to the finals.

The graduates of the "Traditional Turkish Archery" courses, given by Yunus Emre Institute for two terms in Nur-Sultan between 2018 and 2019 continue to promote Turkish archery by attending national and international events. Some graduates who represented Kazakhstan at the competition were entitled to be members of the National Archery Team of Kazakhstan, which was being formed.  Intımak Shıngısbay and Dias Akhmetov, who continued to receive training on ground archery as well as mounted archery in Turkey, will represent Yunus Emre Institute's Nur-Sultan Branch at the archery competition to be held on July 10, 2019 in memory of the 100th birthday of Kazakh hero Nurken Abdirov.
