Turkish Films Screened in Zagreb

The 8th Turkish Film Week, which was opened with the screening of "Av Mevsimi" (Hunting Season), directed by famous director Yavuz Turgul in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, has ended.

During the event which was launched on Tuesday, May 21, at Zagreb's historical movie theater Cinema Europa, the films "Buğday" (Grain), "Kalandar Soğuğu" (Cold of Kalandar), "Kardeşim Benim" (My Brother), "Bütün Saadetler Mümkündür" (All Happiness Is Possible), "Rüya" (Dream), "İftarlık Gazoz" (Soda Pop For Fast-Breaking), "Sofra Sırları" (Serial Cook), "Rafadan Tayfa Dehliz Macerası" (Rafadan Tayfa: Gallery Adventure) and "Ahlat Ağacı" (The Wild Pear Tree) were screened for moviegoers.

Within the scope of the event organized by Yunus Emre Institute in cooperation with the Croatian-Turkish Friendship Association and with support from the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cinema, Nermin Aytekin, the director of the film "Cold of Kalandar," gave an interview.

Following the film screening, Aytekin chatted with moviegoers, sharing the memories and experiences she collected during the production and shooting phases of the film, and answering questions.

The highly-popular Turkish Film Week will continue to be held in different cities around the world.
