Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Kayaalp has delivered a lecture for the students on the Turkish TV series being aired in different countries around the globe. The lecture focused on effects of TV series on social life and economy as well as how Turkish TV series are perceived around the globe.

Following the lecture, the students have met Esra Bilgiç, the famous actress known to the audience as Halime Sultan of "Diriliş Ertuğrul," one of the prominent period series of recent years. 22 movie-makers from 22 countries and 100 students from 48 countries, brought together thanks to Turkish, listened to the young actress as she talked about how she started acting and what she plans to do with her career in the future.

Following the interview, the students toured around Turkey's biggest film plateau. İzmir Seka Film Plateau, which had hosted numerous period TV series aired on Turkish Radio and Television Corporation's (TRT) channels, mesmerized the students. They expressed their wish to shoot films in the plateau, stressing their admiration for Turkish soaps.
