Witnessing History in Turkey's First Cinema School

The Turkish Cinema Summer School participants have witnessed the historical adventure of Turkey's first cinema school.

Visiting Prof. Dr. Sami Şekeroğlu TV and Cinema Center under the guidance of the lecturers from the Department of TV and Cinema at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, the students had a chance to see the machines used in different periods of time and they toured around the university's cinema and editing rooms getting detailed information about the places.

The Turkish Cinema Summer School participants watched the videos about restoration of old Turkish movies such as "Muhsin Bey," and "Vesikalı Yarim," and at the end of the event, they had a chance to see the short film prepared as Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Cinema and TV Department graduation project: "Ah'lar Ağacı."

As the second event of the day, the young movie-makers went to Ortaköy, where they enjoyed the unique scenery of the Bosporus and Grand Mecidiye Mosque and took photos.
