The Youth Chamber Orchestra of TÜRKSOY is in Sarajevo

The Youth Chamber Orchestra of TÜRKSOY gave a concert in Sarajevo in cooperation with Yunus Emre Institute because of the 25th anniversary of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY).

As a part of the Balkan tour, young musicians under the baton of Mustafa Mehmandarov, Azerbaijani Chief Conductor, fascinated the music lovers in Sarajevo once more with the concert they gave. 

Mr. Düsen Kaseinov, Secretary General of TÜRKSOY, Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş, President of the Yunus Emre Institute and many other guests participated in the concert held at the Officers’ Casino of Sarajevo with the contributions of the Yunus Emre Institute.

Opening speeches of the concert were given by Mr. Düsen Kaseinov, Secretary General of TÜRKSOY and Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş, President of the Yunus Emre Institute.

Pointing out the importance of establishing cultural bridges with art, Secretary General Kaseinov said: “We have been building friendship bridges using the universal language of art for 25 years.”

Emphasizing the importance of the event, Dr. Ateş, President of the Institute, said: “These young people are flowers of the garden of humanity. We are very happy to have such an evening in Sarajevo. I congratulate Mr. Düsen Kaseinov, Secretary General of TÜRKSOY, for bringing such a beautiful orchestra together. I wish that TÜRKSOY have many happy returns of the day.”

The orchestra which has brought young musicians from the Turkish geography together, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan etc., performed many works of the composers from the Turkish world as well as the world classics at the concert which lasted about 70 minutes.
