Yunus Emre Institute added a new one to operations carried out with the aim of strengthening the cultural diplomacy ties between Turkey and world countries, and continued the bull session series organized to raise diplomats of the future with an event in which Yunus Emre Institute President Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş participated as the speaker.

In the bull session held on Thursday, December 21st at Gazi University Faculty of Communication, Prof. Dr. Şeref Ateş pointed out the necessity of introducing novelties to the definition of cultural diplomacy, and underlined that Turkey must go beyond the existing criteria and introduce new rhetoric to the whole world.

He marked that with the bull session series organized to further promote Yunus Emre Institute within Turkey's borders which has continued its overseas activities for 8 years, they aim to create a perception in favour of Turkey and to improve Turkey's reputation.

Pointing out that this can be realized with a certain philosophy and strategy, Prof. Dr. Ateş underlined that they have gathered the information from different centres of the world and have determined different strategies suitable for countries. Ateş who expressed that Yunus Emre Institute has a very simple philosophy, said, "We love all those created because of the creator. So we want to share all our cultural wealth with other nations. But we need to strategize, plan and implement our practice.”

Marking that it is a new period in international relations, and anyone can take an active role in this period, Ateş said Turkey has come a long way in the last 10-15 years and  Yunus Emre Institute has also played its part in this regard.

Ateş also marked that the properties, production and quality of universities are decisive in the international arena, and said that within the scope of Turkey Academic Scientific Cooperation Project launched this year, the academic accumulation of Turkey can be introduced abroad and projects based on academic production in collaboration with Turkey, will be supported.
