Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) carried out many activities in Turkey and abroad on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the death of Yunus Emre, one of the most important figures of Turkish language and culture. With the declaration of 2021 as "Yunus Emre and Turkish Year" by UNESCO and subsequently by our Presidency, YEI strengthens its activities to promote Yunus Emre to the whole world in this special year with its new website.

The Institute, whose main purpose is to establish bonds with the people of the world while promoting Turkey, Turkish language and culture, brought together its activities dedicated to Yunus Emre, on the website yunusemreyili.com, based on this mission. In addition to these activities organized under the coordination of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Institute gathered all activities, including those organized by public institutions and organizations across the country, under a single roof.

Colored with Yunus Emre's drawings, the site features bilingual short films about Yunus Emre, works in the fields of theatre, literature, Turkish handicrafts and music. The site also includes videos of field experts explaining Yunus Emre to the site.
