Cooking Workshop Held During Turkish Cuisine Week in Vienna
A cooking workshop was organized by Turkey's Embassy in Vienna and Vienna Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) within the scope of Turkish Cuisine Week, where dishes from the Aegean Region were prepared.
Türkiye's Ambassador to Vienna Ozan Ceyhun, his wife Azize Ceyhun, Vienna YEI Director Ayşe Yorulmaz as well as guests attended the cooking workshop.
Chef Ömer Faruk Bingöl prepared dishes specific to the Aegean Region with the wives of diplomats from different countries working in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
In the workshop, participants learned how to make Izmir meatballs, sour cherry stuffed grape leaves, lemonade and kalburabastı dessert. The participants, who experienced local flavors for the first time, then had the opportunity to taste the dishes they prepared.
At the event, it was emphasized that the rate of waste in the preparation of dishes from the Aegean Region is very low and that this cuisine is completely environmentally friendly.
