Female Ambassadors Make Selanik Pastry in Senegal
Female ambassadors residing in Senegal cooked Selanik pastry in the workshop organized within the scope of Turkish Cuisine Week in Senegal.
A culinary workshop was organized in cooperation with Türkiye's Embassy in Dakar and Dakar Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) within the scope of the "Turkish Cuisine Week", celebrated under the leadership of First Lady Emine Erdoğan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Pakistan's Ambassador to Dakar Saima Sayed, Cuba's Ambassador to Dakar Maydolis Barbara Sosa Hilton, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Representative Tracey Hebert-Seck, United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Representative Silvia Danailov, United Nations Senegal Resident Coordinator Aminata Maiga and Austrian Ambassador to Dakar Ursula Fahringer attended the workshop.
Akkor Showed the Making of Selanik Pastry to Female Ambassadors
Chef Yunus Emre Akkor showed the female ambassadors how to make Selanik pastry at the workshop hosted by Türkiye's Dakar Ambassador Nur Sağman and Dakar YEI Coordinator Merve Işık Efe.
Akkor stated that Selanik pastry was the favorite pastry of the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye and explained the tips.
Female ambassadors wore aprons and bandanas specially prepared for them and made pastries accompanied by Akkor.
At the end of the workshop, the ambassadors went to the breakfast table prepared by Akkor and received information about Turkish breakfast culture from the chef.
