Georgian Translation of the Book " Which One of You is Jesus?" Presented in Tbilisi

The presentation of writer Selahattin Yusuf's work "İsa Hanginiz", translated into Georgian, was carried out by Tbilisi Yunus Emre Institute (YEE).

 

The event was held on July 2nd, 2024 in the institute's conference hall, with Tbilisi Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Zekeriya Gültekin, Turkish Maarif Foundation Georgia Representative Ali Sedat Aslan, Tbilisi Education Counselor Ercan Gülsuyu, Tbilisi Religious Services Counselor Mahmut Göl, International Union of Democrats (UİD) Georgia President Yusuf Taşkıran, Representatives of Turkish and Georgian institutions, academicians, publishing house representatives and Institute students attended.

 

Stating that the work is an important book in terms of literature, Tbilisi Yunus Emre Institute Director Zekeriya Gültekin expressed his satisfaction with the translation of the book into Georgian and the joy of hosting the event.

 

Speaking at the event, , "Which one of you is Jesus?" Selahattin Yusuf stated that his book is the story of those who protect each other in poetic language. Touching on the relationship between literature and philosophy, the author stated that philosophy brings a sense of measure to literature and that this can be seen more clearly in Yunus Emre's poems. Emphasizing that his aim is to bring poetry closer to prose and prose to poetry, the author underlined that literature is also a deep carrier of culture.

 

The book, translated into Georgian by Tbilisi State University Turcology Department Lecturer Nana Janaşia, draws attention as a novel enriched by music, poetry and philosophy.
