Turkish Wind at the Ritam Mediterana Festival in Zagreb [1]
Yunus Emre Institute participated in the Ritam Mediterana Festival as the representative of Turkey and introduced the Turkish culture and unique tastes from Turkey. The festival organized in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, with all countries of the Mediterranean Basin has attracted great deal of attention from both the Croatians and tourists.

The Ritam Mediterana Festival, organized in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, with all countries of the Mediterranean Basin, has started. Turkey was a partner country in the festival of this year with the support of the Republic of Turkey's Embassy in Zagreb, Yunus Emre Institute, and Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality. The festival attracted great deal of attention from the Croatians as well as the tourists.
TURKISH CULTURE AND TURKISH CUISINE APPEARED IN ZAGREB
Unique tastes from the world-renowned Turkish cuisine were offered in the festival, which also included the Zagreb Yunus Emre Institute as the representative of Turkey. Besides the Turkish coffee and Turkish baklava that the festival participants enjoyed very much, the Maraş ice cream was also introduced and offered to the participants with the support of the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality. The handicrafts of the city were introduced at the festival, and the regional products made a strong impression on the participants.
ARTISTIC COLLABORATION BETWEEN TURKEY AND CROATIA
The traditional festival is organized annually in Zagreb and includes exhibitions and events for children. These activities present the other countries' food culture, music, cinema, literature, different fields of art, and different artistic treasures. The Turkish tastes are shared with the Croatians at the festival, and the aim is to create a cultural and artistic relationship between Turkey and Croatia.
CULTURAL COLLABORATION PROTOCOL BETWEEN THE INSTITUTE AND THE MUNICIPALITY
The Maras ice cream was introduced at the festival with the cultural collaboration protocol signed between Yunus Emre Institute and Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality during the pandemic. Despite the pandemic, an international cultural collaboration protocol was signed on September 16, 2020 with the mutual signatures of the President of Yunus Emre Institute Prof. Şeref Ateş and the Mayor of Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Hayrettin Güngör under the chairmanship of the Republic of Turkey Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Serdar Çam. It was decided with the protocol that the joint events between two organizations would be held, and overseas cultural, artistic, educational and gastronomical events and projects would be organized.
