Küresel Kamu Diplomasisi Ağı (Global Public Diplomacy Network-GPDNet) 2014 yılında Güney Kore'nin başkenti Seul'de Yunus Emre Enstitüsünün de aralarında bulunduğu dokuz ülkenin (Filipinler, İsveç, Kore, Tayvan, Nijerya, Polonya, Portekiz, Singapur ve Türkiye) kamu ve kültür diplomasisi kurumları tarafından kurulmuştur. Macaristan'ın da eklenmesiyle üye sayısı 10’a yükselmiştir. Dünyanın farklı bölgelerinde yer alan kültür ve kamu diplomasisi alanında faaliyet gösteren enstitülerin teorik ve pratik sahada bilgi paylaşımını sağlamak, ikili ve çok yönlü projeler hazırlamak amacıyla GPDNet, 23 Ekim 2014 tarihinde enstitü temsilcileri tarafından “Küresel Kamu Diplomasisi Kurumları Mutabakat Zaptı” imzalanarak kurulmuştur.

GPDNet Dönem Başkanlığımız ile ilgili devam eden çalışmalar

24-25 Haziran 2016 tarihinde Polonya’da düzenlenen 3. Genel Kurul’da Küresel Kamu Diplomasisi Ağının 2016-2019 dönem başkanlığına Yunus Emre Enstitüsü seçilmiştir. Kamu diplomasisi ve onun içerdiği kültür diplomasisi yoluyla insanlık ailesinin menfaatlerini gözeterek küresel toplumun sağlıklı gelişimini hedefleyen Küresel Kamu Diplomasisi Ağı, bu yolda çalışmalar yürüten ülkelerin ilgili kurum ve kuruluşlarının bir araya gelerek aralarında bilgi ve tecrübe paylaşımı esaslı etkin bir iletişim zemini kurmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu doğrultuda, ikili ve çok yönlü projeler hazırlanması suretiyle diğer ülke ve temsilcilerinin katılımı sayesinde ağın daha da genişlemesi ilk hedef olarak belirlenmiştir.

Küresel Kamu Diplomasisi Ağı Genel Kurul Toplantısı’nın dördüncüsü 2017 yılında İstanbul’da Enstitümüz ev sahipliğinde yapılacaktır. Yunus Emre Enstitüsü temsiliyle Türkiye’nin de kurucu ve asil üyesi olduğu Ağ, sürdürülebilir bir küresel büyüme ve gelişme için çaba gösteren, bu amaçla kamu ve kültür diplomasisi yürütmekte olan dünyadaki tüm benzer kurum ve kuruluşların bir araya gelerek bilgi, tecrübe paylaşımı yoluyla ortak bir zemin oluşturmalarını hedeflemektedir.

Ağa şu an itibariyle üye olan ülke ve ilgili kuruluşlar: Polonya’dan Adam Mickiewicz Institute (IAM), Türkiye’den Yunus Emre Enstitüsü (YEE), Tayvan’dan Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation (CCK), Güney Kore’den Korea Foundation (KF), Filipinler’den National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Singapur’dan Singapore International Foundation (SIF), İsveç’ten Swedish Institute (SI), Macaristan’dan Balassi Institute (BI), Nijerya’dan National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), Portekiz’den Camoes Institute (IC).

GLOBAL PUBLIC DIPLOMACY NETWORK (GPDNET)

Global Public Diplomacy Network-GPDNet was founded by public and cultural institutions of nine countries (Philippines, Sweden, Korea, Taiwan, Nigeria, Poland, Portugal, Singapore and Turkey) including Yunus Emre Enstitü, in Seoul capital of South Korea in 2014. The number of countries reached to 10 as Hungary joined the network. GPDNet was established with the aim of enabling the knowledge exchange in theoretical and practical fields and making bilateral or multilateral projects between cultural and public diplomacy institutions across the world on October 23^rd 2014, as institute representatives signed “Global Public Diplomacy Institutions Memorandum of Understanding”.

Ongoing Operations concerning Our GPDNet Term Presidency

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü was appointed as 2016-2019 term president of Global Public Diplomacy Network in Third General Assembly organised in Poland on June 24-25 2016. Global Public Diplomacy Network aims to ensure the healthy development of global public regarding interest of humanity through public diplomacy and cultural diplomacy it incorporates, and establish an efficient communication platform based on exchange of know-how and experience, where concerned institutions and organisations of countries working in this area. The primary goal was determined as expanding the network by participation of other countries and representatives by way of designing bilateral and multilateral projects in this respect.

The fourth Global Public Diplomacy Network General Meeting will be hosted by our Enstitü in Istanbul in 2017. Represented by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, Turkey is a founding and permanent member of the network works towards a sustainable global expansion and development, and aims to gather all similar institutions and organisations worldwide which carry out public and cultural diplomacy activities and ensure them to create a shared platform by way of experience exchange.
