The Exhibition Titled "Reminder" Opened in Sarajevo

The exhibition titled "Reminder" was opened on October 14, 2022, in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The exhibition opened in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Yunus Emre Institute (YEI) within the framework of the "Selam ya Resulallah" event, which is traditionally organized for the birthday of Muhammad according to the Hijri calendar, attracted great attention.

"SELAM YA RESULALLAH" EVENT HAS BEEN ORGANIZED FOR 18 YEARS

Abdulgafar Velic, Head of the Assembly of the Islamic Union in Sarajevo, stated that the "Selam ya Resulallah" event has been organized for 18 years and said, "We organize different activities within the scope of the event. One of them is this exhibition."

Velic said that the verses of the Quran performed with calligraphy art were also exhibited and added: "It is said that the Quran is best written in Turkey, revealed in Mecca, read in Egypt, and interpreted in Iraq."

Ebru artist and academician Ahmet Sacit Açıkgözoğlu stated that 15 artists contributed to the exhibition, and 46 works consisting of marbling, calligraphy, and paper cutting arts were exhibited.

Mehmet Akif Yaman, Yunus Emre Institute Sarajevo Director, said that they are working to promote Turkish culture and art and that they have opened courses throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina where the arts in the exhibition are taught.

Ertuğrul Selçuk Güldüler, Deputy Mayor of Bağcılar Municipality, stated that they would continue their support in the field of culture.
