Health Minister Recep Akdağ visited Tirana Yunus Emre Enstitüsü as part of official contacts in Albania.

Akdağ who also visited a Turkish language classroom in the Enstitü, was informed on operations by Enstitü Director Salih Gültekin.

FETO Request from Albania

Expressing that Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) issue was also discussed as part of his Albania visit, Akdağ emphasized that the Maarif Foundation established, also supported by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü will fill the gap that could arise in the field of education.

Akdağ relayed that he has information on FETO hospitals in Albania and said, "I conveyed them our desire for them to take further actions on the subject. As long as Albania effectively  does what is necessary in the fight against this terrorist organization, we will make sure to fill gaps in health sector and provide all the support we can.”

Adding that FETO issue will continue to be discussed at the foreign ministries and prime ministerial level, Akdağ spoke as follows: "I believe that Albania will show the due reaction to this issue."
