Hundreds of Trainees Receive Turkish Certificate in Khartoum

A certificate awarding ceremony was organized at Khartoum Yunus Emre Institute for hundreds of Sudanese trainees who successfully completed Turkish courses at different levels.

The program hosted by the Institute on December 23, 2022 was attended by Turkish Ambassador to Khartoum İsmail Çobanoğlu, YEI Khartoum Coordinator Abdullah Yegin, TIKA Khartoum Coordinator Fulya Aslan, Turkish Embassy to Khartoum Education Counsellor Gökhan Bozbaş, Sudanese trainees learning Turkish and their families.

The event started with the singing of the national anthems of both countries, followed by Sudanese trainees reading Turkish poems and singing Turkish songs.

"YUNUS EMRE INSTITUTE IS ONE OF OUR SOURCES OF PRIDE"

In his speech at the program, Ambassador Çobanoğlu stated: "Yunus Emre Institute is one of our sources of pride. In fact, the Institute has become a brand. It has very valuable contributions to the promotion of our country, culture and language."

Hundreds of trainees received their Turkish certificates and the program ended with a souvenir photo session and refreshments.

NEARLY 4 THOUSAND SUDANESE PEOPLE WERE INTRODUCED TO TURKISH

As part of the Turkish language teaching activities organized by Khartoum Yunus Emre Institute throughout Sudan, nearly 4 thousand Sudanese people were introduced to Turkish.

Every year, Khartoum Yunus Emre Institute carries out many activities in various fields such as language, literature, history, cinema, theater, music and handcrafts in order to promote Turkey, Turkish culture and art, to develop friendship between Turkey and Sudan and to increase cultural exchange.
