“Istanbul Inspirations’’ Concert Held in Germany

Turkish-Italian piano artist Francesco Taskayali and Turkish-German violinist Önder Baloğlu took the stage in the city of Cologne, Germany, within the framework of the 25th anniversary of the sister city of Istanbul and Cologne.

 

With the cooperation of Cologne Yunus Emre Enstitüsü (YEE) and Cologne-Istanbul Sister City Association, a concert themed "Istanbul Inspirations" was held at the Trinitatis Church in Cologne.

Turkish-Italian piano artist Francesco Taskayali and Turkish-German violinist Önder Baloğlu presented Istanbul melodies in two different music genres to music lovers.

Ralf Heinen, Deputy Mayor of Cologne Metropolitan, stated at the event that trust between societies was established thanks to the communication provided by city brotherhood and congratulated Yunus Emre Institute for its support of sister city events.

Walter Kluth, President of the Cologne-Istanbul Sister City Association, expressed their happiness to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the brotherhood of Cologne and Istanbul.

Kluth underlined that since 1997, friendships have been formed, and prejudices have been broken down between the communities of the two countries thanks to sports, cultural, educational, and social activities and trips to Istanbul.
