At the Jerusalem Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center in Palestine, a painting exhibition titled "Jerusalem lives in us" by Talib Duveyk, one of the leading painters in the country, was opened.

Turkey's Consul General in Jerusalem Ahmet Rıza Demirer, former Palestinian Authority Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Adnan al-Husseini, Jerusalem Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center Director Reha Ermumcu, and art lovers from Jerusalem attended the opening of the exhibition, where works on Palestine and Jerusalem were presented to the attention of art lovers on October 15, 2022.

TRACES OF PALESTINIAN CULTURE

The exhibition includes oil paintings depicting Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as themes that are considered parts of Palestinian culture, such as the olive harvest and Indian figs, in eye-catching colors.

At the opening of the exhibition, painter Talib Duveyk accompanied the visitors, especially the Jerusalem Consul General Ahmet Rıza Demirer, and chatted with them.

Duweik, who is a well-known artist throughout Palestine, especially for his artistic training activities for Palestinian youth, said that here, through his brush and the colors he uses, he highlights the identity of Jerusalem through its aesthetic symbols, such as mosques or churches.

Regarding the exhibition "Jerusalem lives in us", Duveyk said, "The price we pay as residents of Jerusalem is high. But we are willing to pay that price. Because as the title of the exhibition suggests, 'Jerusalem lives in us' and we live in Jerusalem. Jerusalem is in the hearts of all believers, Arabs, and Muslims."

The exhibition, held in the gallery section of the cultural center, will be open to visitors until October 25.
