Baku Yunus Emre Enstitüsü organized a theatre show titled "Journey to Love" on Yunus Emre's life.

Azerbaijani parliament members, academicians and a large number of art lovers attended the event held in Azerbaijan State Musical Theatre. Students from Baku Yunus Emre Enstitüsü drama club and professional Azerbaijani actors performed in the play.

Director of Baku Yunus Emre Enstitüsü İbrahim Yıldırım expressed in the press statement his excitement for staging the life of the great poet and philosopher, who brought the finesse, wealth and elegance of Turkish language of centuries ago to present day.

Yıldırım stated that they started a drama club with young people and a later great team was formed by involving professional actors,  and continued as follows: “Today we both work towards making theatre popular among youth as well as explaining the philosophy of Yunus Emre. It is easy to make people laugh but it is very difficult to stage a theatre play which has a message. With this theatre, we will try to pay some of our debt of gratitude to Yunus Emre, we are named after.”
