Skopje Yunus Emre Enstitüsü that rapidly attracted a considerable audience through Turkish courses and the culture-art activities organized in Skopje, is also spoken of with the projects organized in collaboration with various official institutions and organizations across Macedonia.

Enstitü that has organized Turkish courses at different levels, primarily at the Republic of Macedonia Ministry of Defence, as well as Ministry of Interior and Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Information Society and Information, TAV, Halkbank, International Balkan University and many other official institution and organizations, also offers regular Turkish courses at Skopje Saint Cyril and Methodius, Tetovo Goh and Delft Universities.

In 2017, Enstitü opened three new groups at A1 level for the military personnel of the Ministry of Defence, presented 19 trainees with certificates who successfully completed Turkish courses, at a ceremony held in the Ministry Building.

Next to military personnel who completed the course, Macedonian Chief of General Staff Metodiya Velichkovski, Turkish Embassy in Skopje Undersecretary Tahir Bora Atatanır, Military Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Ruşen Abidinoğlu, Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Strategy Development Manager Bülent Üçpunar and Skopje Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Director Fuat Korkmaz attended the ceremony.

"There is no protocol among friends."

Chief of General Staff Velichkovski who gave the opening speech in the ceremony, spoke as follows, "We especially did not follow a protocol in this ceremony because there is no protocol among friends. It is great to see Turkey, an important power in the world, on our side as a friends. Turkey's support to us for NATO membership is very important. On the other hand, all Macedonian soldiers who studied in Turkey, carry out important tasks at key positions in Macedonian army today. While we train our soldiers in every area, we have not neglected Turkish. Turkish courses organized by Skopje Yunus Emre Enstitüsü for our military personnel under the Ministry are great opportunities to deepen our friendship and to build a bridge over the language barrier." At the end of his speech, Velezkovski thanked all military members and Turkey on behalf of the people of Macedonia.

"As Turkey, we are proud to recognize Macedonia with its constitutional name."

After the Chief of General Staff Metodiya Velichkovski, Turkish Embassy in Skopje Undersecretary Tahir Bora Atatanır made a speech. "As Turkey, we are proud to recognize Macedonia with its constitutional name. We are pleased to see that military relations are at a high level as well as bilateral relations between Turkey and Macedonia. The most important objective of this relationship is for Macedonia to attain a NATO membership. We carefully follow the membership process. We believe that Macedonia's membership will be significant for security of the region." Undersecretary Atatanır, continued as follows: "It is pleasing that this ceremony is held in such a spontaneous environment and protocol was not followed. Being together with friends removes barriers. We feel at home here. Thank you for making us feel like this.”

Skopje Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Director Fuat Korkmaz who gave the last speech in the ceremony, spoke as follows: “It is very gratifying to see that 110 military personnel have attended Turkish courses in four years, which was attended by 7 soldiers organized under Republic of Macedonia Ministry of Defence by contributions of Turkish Embassy to Skopje Military Attache's Office as of fall 2012. I would like to thank the officials at Ministry of Defence, Turkish Military Attache's Office and all instructors who have contributed.”

The ceremony ended after 19 military personnel were presented with certificates and a group shoot.
