Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye, visits Yunus Emre Institute in Cairo

Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye, paid a visit to the Yunus Emre Institute in Cairo.

Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, who visited Egypt as part of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s program, met with trainees learning Turkish at the Yunus Emre Institute in Cairo and was briefed on the Institute’s activities.

Emin Boyraz, Coordinator of the Yunus Emre Institute in Cairo, provided Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş with details about the Institute’s Turkish language teaching initiatives, cultural exchange programs, and its diverse diplomatic projects.

Coordinator Boyraz remarked, “Since its inauguration by our President in 2010, the Yunus Emre Institute in Cairo has been steadfastly carrying out its activities without interruption. Our Institute has conducted hundreds of cultural interaction activities across Egypt, introducing Turkish to over 50 thousand Egyptians as part of our educational diplomacy initiatives.”

Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş meets Egyptian trainees

Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş toured the Institute’s classrooms, participated in Turkish language courses, and engaged in conversations with the trainees.

In addition to the Turkish courses offered at the Institute, the trainees highlighted the role of Turkish TV series in their language learning journey. They enthusiastically shared the TV series they enjoy with Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş.

Minister Göktaş expressed her satisfaction with the trainees’ enthusiasm for learning Turkish and their proficiency in the language. She extended his best wishes to the staff of the Yunus Emre Institute in Cairo for their continued success in their endeavors.

At the conclusion of the visit, Emin Boyraz, Coordinator of the Institute, presented Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş with a commemorative plaque.

Yunus Emre Institute in Cairo continues to serve as a cultural bridge between Türkiye and Egypt, fostering enduring connections and cultivating cultural ambassadors in Egypt through activities shaped by the philosophy of Yunus Emre since its establishment in 2010.
