Palestine 12th International Book Fair Opens Its Doors to Book Lovers
The 12th "Palestine International Book Fair" organized this year in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah opened its doors to book lovers.
The theme of the fair, organized by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture and attended by about 350 publishing houses, was determined as "Palestine is the homeland and Jerusalem is the capital" this year.
In addition to publishing houses and authors from Arab countries, Germany, France, Greece, and Turkey's Yunus Emre Institute participated in the fair.
"THE BIGGEST CULTURAL GATHERING IN PALESTINE"
Yunus Emre Institute's stand featured Turkish language teaching materials and works on Turkish culture and literature.
In his opening speech, Palestinian Minister of Culture Atef Abu Sayf said that the fair is "the largest cultural gathering in Palestine" and "embodies Palestinian unity with the participation of Palestinians living in occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank, as well as Gaza, Israel, and the diaspora."
The fair, where seminars on Palestinian and Arab literature and poetry evenings with the participation of poets will be organized, can be visited until September 24.
