A poetry and music concert called "In the Footsteps of Yunus" was organized by Yunus Emre Institute in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Türkiye's Sarajevo Ambassador Sadık Babür Girgin, Bosnia and Herzegovina Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Mehmet Akif Yaman, representatives of Turkish institutions and many guests attended the program hosted by the Sarajevo Military House Concert Hall.

Serdar Tuncer, who sang Yunus Emre's poems in the program, also shared stories and anecdotes from the lives of the great Sufis.

Bosnian and Herzegovinian artist Zejd Soto performed Yunus Emre's works that reflected the depth of his vision, such as "Your Love Took Me Away" (Aşkın Aldı Benden Beni), "I Came to Make Hearts" (Gönüller Yapmaya Geldim), "If Once You Broke a Heart" (Bir Kez Gönül Yıktın ise), "They Found It in Laziness" (Miskinlikte Buldular), "Hak Çalabım Hak Çalabım", "Come and See Me" (Gel Gör Beni).

Serdar Tuncer stated that they wanted to carry Yunus Emre's poetry and philosophy to all over the world and made the following statements:

“We need Yunus' call more than ever. 'Let's get to know each other, let's make the job easier, let's love and be loved, the world won't be left to anyone'. If we only understand and explain this quatrain, many things in the world would be different. We strive to carry the call of love and affection that Yunus made eight centuries ago but is still fresh, to all corners of the world. Our excuse is some poetry, some beautiful hymns, and some conversation.”

At the certificate ceremony held within the scope of the program, certificates were presented to the trainees who successfully completed the Turkish courses by Bosnia and Herzegovina Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Mehmet Akif Yaman.

Coordinator Yaman stated that they presented gifts to the winners of the painting and composition competitions they organized within the scope of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye and used the following expression: "Nearly 130 of our trainees were entitled to receive certificates by completing their Turkish courses."
