"Reasons to learn Turkish" around the world increase day by day, thanks to the cultural diplomacy, educational diplomacy, scientific diplomacy, digital diplomacy and gastrodiplomacy activities carried out by Yunus Emre Institute abroad.

Turkey's natural wonders, culture and art, as well as the many fascinating elements that are unique to Turkey, especially the Turkish language, have greatly increased the interest in learning Turkish in Russia, just as in other countries.

"WE LOVE TURKEY AND TURKS VERY MUCH"

In the interview with the trainees of the Moscow Yunus Emre Institute, trainees mentioned their love for Turkey, the friendliness and hospitality of Turks and their dreams of living in Turkey as their main reasons for learning Turkish.

"I PLAN TO MOVE TO TURKEY AND WORK THERE IN THE FUTURE"

Aibulatova, one of the trainees who learned Turkish, said: "I visited Turkey several times and went to Istanbul. I admire Turkey and I love Turkey very much. I am a pediatrician and I plan to work in Turkey in the future. That is why I have been attending Turkish courses for about 3 years. In the future, I plan to move to Turkey and work there."

Valieva, another Turkish trainee, said: "I went to Eskişehir in 2014 with the Mevlana Student Exchange Program. After studying Turkish language and literature in Eskişehir, I returned to Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan. There, I went to Yunus Emre Institute to improve my Turkish skills. After Kazan, I moved to Moscow and now I continue to learn Turkish here."

"TURKISH IS A FABULOUS LANGUAGE"

Valieva said: "You see, I am Tatar. Tatar and Turkish are very similar languages. Turkish is a fabulous language to me, I love it so much. That is why I continued to learn Turkish."

"I HAVE MANY REASONS TO LEARN TURKISH"

Another trainee, Takiev, said: "I love Turkey very much, I have friends who live there. We talk and meet very often. I admire the Turks. They are very hospitable, helpful and friendly. So I decided to learn Turkish. Actually, I have many reasons to learn Turkish. I am thinking of moving to Turkey in the future."

Trainee Polyakova said: "I find Turkish to be such is a beautiful language. So I decided to learn Turkish. I am also learning this language because of the close relations between Russia and Turkey. I want to study and work in Turkey in the future."

"ISTANBUL LEFT A MARK IN MY HEART"

"I decided to learn Turkish because I love learning foreign languages. I have learned a few languages before, but Turkish is a different language has a different place in my heart, ever since I visited Turkey as a child. Turkey is such a beautiful country. Of the cities in Turkey, Istanbul in particular left a mark in my heart. I also love traveling. I have traveled to about 25 countries but Istanbul has a unique energy. Because I love Istanbul and Turkey, I signed up to learn Turkish when Moscow Yunus Emre Institute opened. I am currently learning Turkish and I am very happy."

TURKISH TV SERIES ENCOURAGE LEARNING TURKISH

Moscow Yunus Emre Institute aims to increase the number of Turkish courses in 2023, as Turkish TV series broadcast on Russian TV channels encourage Russians to learn Turkish.

"THERE IS A GREAT INTEREST IN TURKISH IN RUSSIA"

YEI Moscow Coordinator Mehmet Ülker spoke to press members: "There is a great interest in Turkish in Russia. We are very happy to witness the recent increase in interest in Turkish. In response to this demand, the Institute aims to multiply the number of trainees learning Turkish in 2023. In addition to Turkish language teaching activities in Russia, we will organize activities in many fields from gastronomy to traditional Turkish handicrafts in order to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and increase cultural interaction."
