Rwandans showed great interest in the workshops initiated by marbling artist Abdulvahap Ertekin, who came to the country with the contributions of the Turkish Embassy in Kigali and Turkish Airlines.

DIFFERENT PROFESSIONAL GROUPS CAME TOGETHER AT THE MARBLING TRAYS

Diplomats, visual artists, and people from different professional groups attended the free marbling workshops organized by Yunus Emre Institute in the capital Kigali with the theme "Art Unites".

Yunus Emre Institute Kigali Cultural Center Coordinator Enes Karaçoban stated that the interest in the marbling workshops was higher than expected and said, "We aim to achieve the success we have achieved with our Turkish courses in culture and art activities. The marbling training we initiated for this purpose are the first of their kind in Rwanda. We are so pleased with the interest shown by Rwandans in art."

Karaçoban stated that instructor Ertekin gave marbling lessons to artists in important art galleries in the city.

Marbling master Ertekin, who organized workshops for 10 days in the country, held a closing program at the Ipfundo Art Gallery, one of the important art centers of East Africa, with the participation of Türkiye's Ambassador to Kigali Burcu Çevik.

On the other hand, the art of marbling was introduced at the October 29 Republic Day reception organized by the Embassy. Yunus Emre Institute Kigali stand, where marbling art was performed, was the center of attention of the representatives of other countries attending the reception.
