Seeds of Hope are Planted in the Syria Safe Zone

Through the Mobile Cultural Center Project, Yunus Emre Institute carries out various activities in the Syria Safe Zone’s cities of Azaz, Afrin and Al-Bab in order to transfer the love of environment and greenery to future generations.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, in cooperation with the Yunus Emre Institute, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), the General Directorate of Relations with Civil Society and Educating Mothers Association, within the scope of the Mobile Cultural Center Projectwhich was implemented in 2021 to provide services in the fields of education and culture to children who are victims of war in the Syria Safe Zone, various fruit trees are planted in the gardens of the schools visited in the region.

Within the scope of the project, culture and art workshops are organized for students in the schools visited by the Mobile Culture Center, as well as events emphasizing the love of the environment and greenery. In the workshops, students are given various trainings under different topics, especially the contribution of trees to the ecological system, and environmental awareness is created.

Thanks to the trainings and workshops held, the young generation in the Syria Safe Zone both discovers the cultural elements of Türkiye and grows up as environmentally sensitive individuals.

More than 10 Thousand Saplings Meet with the Soil with the Mobile Cultural Center Project

More than 10 thousand saplings have been planted so far within the framework of the project carried out in schools in the cities of Azaz, Afrin and Al-Bab in the Syria Safe Zone.
