In-service Training Program for Turkish Teachers teaching Turkish to Syrian Children Ended

Yunus Emre Enstitüsü and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) organized a training program titled "Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language" at Ankara City Hotel between May 22nd and May 26th 2017 for teachers who teach Turkish to Syrian children. 25 teachers, as majority working in South-eastern Anatolia region, participated in the program that lasted for five days.

Seminar classes were given by experts trainers on a number of topics as Intraclass Relations in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language, The First Lesson in  Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language,  Teaching Grammar, Thematic Approach and Teaching Vocabulary, Employing Drama Technique, New Approaches and Common European Framework of  Recommendations for Languages, Employing Technology in Language Teaching, Improving Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking Skills and Classroom Activities, Application Examples of Teaching Turkish to Children as a Foreign Language , and Successful Assessment Methods.

After the speech by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Turkish Instruction Director Kerim Sarıgül, the teachers who completed the training received participation certificates at the end of five-days long program.
